Each distinct production enterprise counts as one farm type.
Examples of animal farm types: poultry, aquaculture, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs etc.
Examples of crop farm types: rice, cassava, maize, plantain, oil palm, coconut etc.
Production units include a crop plot, a poultry house, a fish pond, a pig pen etc.
For example, a farm with 2 poultry houses, 3 fish ponds, 1 cassava plot and 2 rice plots will have 8 production units.
"Keeping farm records used to feel like extra work but OFR has made this simple and quick. Also, I no longer worry about losing my records or guessing. I can see everything happening on my farm whenever I need it including my production records, health problems, and farm activities. OFR has really made managing my farm much easier."
Record from anywhere. Even without internet.
The OFR mobile app lets you keep recording even without an internet connection. Once you're back online, your records automatically sync securely to your account.
Enable Location and GPS settings for accurate location reporting.
Questions, answered.
OFR is free of charge to participating farmers for the duration of the current pilot programme. Subscription plans start at $5 a month and are shown in full above — one subscription covers your entire operation, however many farm types you keep.
No. One subscription covers your whole operation. Plans are set by scale — how many farms, farm types, production units and users you have — not by the kind of farming you do. A farmer with poultry, fish and rice on one farm pays the same as anyone else on that plan.
Your farm records belong to you. Only you and people you authorise, such as your veterinarian or farm manager, can access your records. OFR does not share your personal farm records without your consent or with unauthorised third parties.
The OFR web platform requires an internet connection. The mobile app (coming soon) will allow you to record offline and automatically sync your records once you're back online.
OFR currently supports poultry and aquaculture. Additional farm types, including cattle, small ruminants, pig production, and crops, will be introduced soon.
Yes. Veterinarians can create professional accounts, connect with your farm (with your permission), and record verified diagnoses, treatments, prescriptions, and other animal health information.
Yes. Your farm records are securely stored and can be accessed whenever you need them from any device with a web browser - phone, tablet, or computer. You can review your farm's history and monitor performance over time.
Yes. If you manage more than one farm, you can add and manage multiple farms from a single OFR account. Just register each farm and switch between them easily.
